Background:
To provide corridor redevelopment recommendations
along SR 64 through downtown Bradenton, Florida.
Downsize the existing SR 64 one-way pair to two
through lanes in each direction with traffic
calming measures, while considering an in-town
bypass utilizing the existing 9th Avenue.
Services:
- Enhance downtown pedestrian activity and economic development in downtown
Bradenton by evaluating the impact of downsizing Manatee Avenue and 6th Avenue
- Modeling simulations for five (5) comparative alternatives associated with the proposed
east-west "in-town" bypass route in coordination with the Florida Department of
Transportation and the City of Bradenton
- Preliminary design of landscape and streetscape features to improve pedestrian traffic,
with textured pavement and raised road surfaces to calm vehicle traffic
