Grand Central Village

Design Improvements

Client:

City of St. Petersburg, Florida

Background:

The Grand Central Village neighborhood of St. Petersburg has witnessed significant growth and redevelopment within the last 10 years. Located on the western edge of downtown, this neighborhood is undergoing a redevelopment with building rehabilitations, higher occupancy rates, and new development permits.

To help continue this trend the City retained ADEAS-Q to design streetscape and infrastructure improvements along Central Avenue from 26th Street to 22nd Street. Preliminary designs are being developed to reduce speeding on Central Avenue, improve both the function and aesthetics along the sidewalks, and to improve the pedestrian connectivity.
