Traffic Impact Study

Client:

Founders Land Capital

Background:

Dr. Collins performed a detailed traffic impact study for a new retail center and Goddard School in Pasco County, Florida. The purpose of the study was to determine the traffic impacts from the proposed development and to develop any necessary mitigation measures that would provide satisfactory access to the site while maintaining acceptable traffic operations within the study area. Factors that had to be considered included an already deficient US 41 corridor, high AM peak hour traffic due to a nearby high school, and a poor grid that was unable to distribute traffic off of US 41. Effort included work with the County and Client to develop conditions of approval to address these issues, as well as assisting the client with FDOT coordination for the future widening of US 41.

Services:

  • Collection of data including traffic counts and field reconnaissance
  • Traffic capacity analysis and simulation
  • Report preparation

CASE STUDIES
  • "We received county approval on Thursday! I know one of the most difficult portions of the approval was the TIS report and dealing with the FDOT and county. I want to thank you for your dedication, time and participation."
